If you have undergone unilateral breast reconstruction, our specialists can help restore the look and feel of the areola and nipple using a combination of cosmetic tattooing and injectable dermal fillers.
Nipple areola tattooing typically takes less than an hour and can be performed in-office. If you have undergone unilateral breast reconstruction, we can mix pigments so that the tattoo closely matches your existing nipple areola color. We may be able to accomplish this in one sitting, but a second sitting is frequently needed for a better color match. If you have undergone bilateral breast reconstruction, we can create a color that nicely complements your skin tone. The choice of nipple areola color can be slightly darker or lighter depending on an individual woman’s preference. We will then use an injectable filler to create the illusion of a nipple. The use of injectable dermal fillers to enhance nipple projection is a simple noninvasive procedure with immediate and adjustable volume results that positively impact patient satisfaction. The utility and safety of injectable hyaluronic acid (HA) gel make it an ideal filler for restoring the natural feel and contour to the delicate structure of the nipple and in some cases may represent a simple solution following breast reconstruction.
Using cosmetic tattooing techniques and laser therapy, we can help minimize or eliminate scars and skin discoloration.
Mole & Skin Tag Removal
Moles are skin growths made up of cells that produce color (pigment). They are usually brown in color but can be blue, black, or flesh-colored. Skin Tags are small, soft pieces of skin that stick out on a thin stem. Most moles and skin tags don’t require treatment.
Stretchmark & Scar Reduction
Improve the appearance of stretch marks, acne scars and scar tissue with microneedling – encourages collagen production and rebuilds elasticity. The premise of microneedling is to create a controlled wound response in the skin to stimulate growth factors without abrasing the epidermis.
Your Microneedling procedure will be performed in a clean and relaxing environment with the safest technology available. A topical numbing cream will be applied 30 minutes prior to your procedure. With a microneedle pen we will treat the entire area of concern, creating micro punctures in the skin, effectively stimulating the body’s natural healing response. We will then apply a cooling mask to the treated area and you will be on your way!
There is no down time after a Microneedling procedure, however we do recommend you avoid sun exposure and harsh, alcohol based products for two weeks after treatment. It is also important that you use a broad spectrum SPF daily.
Sclerotherapy treats varicose veins by injecting a solution directly into the vein. The solution irritates the lining of the blood vessel, causing it to swell and stick together, and the blood to clot.
Consultation and assessment of veins needed before treatment.
During the treatment, the person lies on their back with their legs exposed. The provider cleans the area, then inserts a small needle into the vein.
The provider injects the vein with an irritating solution. The individual may feel burning, tingling, or nothing at all.
Effective Sclerotherapy generally requires 2-3 treatments to see desired result. Treatments can be done every 2 weeks, one leg at a time. The second leg will be done on the second day. Do not take NSADS, ASPIRIN, MULTIVITAMINS or blood thinners prior to treatment. If you take blood thinners by doctor’s RX, notify our office prior to appointment.
Following Sclerotherapy treatment it is recommended that medical grade compression stockings are worn for 2 weeks and to remain active in order to prevent blood clots from forming. Stockings will be provided at our office. Most will also need to avoid sunlight, which can cause dark spots on the treated area.
Some people experience temporary tenderness or bruising at the site of the injection, but recovery is otherwise relatively easy.
Sometimes the results of dermal filler procedures are not as you hoped they would be. You may have been left with an undesired result such as an overly-filled area in the lips, cheeks or elsewhere. Or perhaps you have later changed your mind and decided that, while the results achieved were objectively good, the procedure simply was not for you personally. Hyalase (hyaluronidase) effectively and safely dissolves unwanted dermal fillers and reverses overly-filled cheeks and lips.
